Rev. Billy Graham has been admitted to the hospital with a possible case of pneumonia.
Graham was admitted to the Mission Hospital in Asheville, N.C., for treatment of his lungs, the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association reported on the organization’s website.
He was said to be alert, smiling and waving at the hospital staff when he went in for treatment.
Graham’s personal physician, Dr. Lucian Rice, said the 93-year-old evangelist is in stable condition. He was previously treated for pneumonia in May.
The evangelist’s most recent book, Nearing Home, was published last month. BGEA said he was also starting work a new project that reaffirms „the evangelistic message he has preached for more than 60 years.”
No date has been set for his discharge.
