Two obstacles stood between us & our salvation—the condemnation of sin & the power to sin. God overcame sin’s condemnation through the death of Christ on our behalf (Rom.8:1). He overcame sin’s power through the regenerating & sanctifying work of the Spirit in us (Rom.6:6).
