Duminică, 7 octombrie 2012, cu prilejul deschiderii festive a anului universitar 2012-2013 a Institutului Teologic Baptist din București la Biserica Creștină Baptistă Golgota din București am avut prilejul și onoarea să ascult o mărturie extraordinară a unui om care a umblat și umblă alături de Dumnezeu.

Am găsit și o scurtă biografie a Silviei Tărniceriu pe care o integrez aici.

I was born and raised in Romania, in the city of Iasi, the North-East part of the country, very close to the former Russian border. Though so close to my neighbor country, I had never seen a Russian person in all my childhood and teenage years.

 Counting as the greatest blessing of my life the fact that I was born and raised in a Christian family, I thought, for a long while, that this will make me a good Christian child. Well, it was not so, as I was soon enrolled in a kindergarten where at that very early age I was brain washed by the communist education. I learned that  believing in God is a crazy idea of some insane people and old grandparents.

 Being the 8^th out of a dozen children in the family, I learned to know what humiliation is, being mocked and looked down upon as one of “the repentants’ poor child”.

 In my early “teen’s years”, I had to decide what I believe and why do I believe what I believe, in order to pay the price my Tata said we would have to pay as followers of Christ.

That brought me to the adolescent life when the price became harder to be paid and the world’s temptations more difficult to renounce.

 The decision I took, I will never regret. What I regret is that I didn’t give Him the best of my life at that time. But I am glad that as I grow older and older, He makes Himself more and more known to me, giving me the best of this life and the assurance of the Eternal Life.
